You see yourself in the story and something inside you quickens. You may nod your head in agreement, laugh out loud or wipe away a tear or two.
At the turn of the last page, you let out a deep sigh. Reluctantly, you close the book for the final time and whisper, “Wow. What a great book.” You jot the title down on your “books read” list, shove it onto the shelf and go unload the dishwasher.
